After Each Use

Mix ¼ tsp bleach with 2 cups of water (use filtered water if tap is unavailable). Pour through the mouthpiece with the bottom cap closed. Let stand 5 minutes, then flush by filtering a few cups of water.

Deep clean first, then store the straw submerged in salt water (1 tsp salt in 2 cups water) with both caps open. Keep in a cool, dry place. Keeps the filter ready to use and prevents clogging.
